Modeled after our professional dance company, the pre-professional path will provide a deeper look into performance, choreography, and the art of dance. This program fosters teamwork, creativity, and positivity. Ormao’s repertory students receive opportunities to engage the local community in dance, work with guest teachers and choreographers, and receive additional performance opportunities. Repertory students will experience collaborative opportunities that will enhance and shape not only their dance skills but their life skills that will last well past their adolescence.

Ormao Youth Ensemble

A performance group for our repertory students ages 9-12 (intermediate dancers). Young students will dive into a broader world of dance and performance experiencing collaborative experiences with their peers and their instructors to create and develop their dance skills. Our Youth Ensemble students dance 5-6 hours each week and explore a variety of dance mediums to give them the versatility used for years of dancing to come. Students experience an audition and invitation process to accompany. All required classes and rehearsals are included in monthly tuition costs.

Ormao Junior repertory

A performance group for our repertory students ages 12-18 (intermediate to advanced dancers).  Students will work directly with their peers and instructors to create new works to be performed throughout the year. Our Junior repertory students are provided with the experience of working with guest artists and professional choreographers to develop and expand their choreographic and performance knowledge. Junior students dance 6-7 hours each week to hone and advance their movement skills. Students experience an audition and invitation process to accompany. All required classes and rehearsals are included in monthly tuition costs.

Ormao Senior Repertory

A performance group for our oldest repertory students ages 14-18 (advanced dancers).  Students work directly with their peers and instructors to create new works to be performed throughout the year along with attending national dance conferences to collaborate with musicians, choreographers, and other artists their same age. Our Senior Repertory students expand their choreographic and performance knowledge by working with professional choreographers and guest artists each year to develop original works to be performed. Senior students dance 8-10 hours each week to practice a well rounded versatile movement experience. Students experience an audition and invitation process to accompany. All required classes and rehearsals are included in monthly tuition costs.
