Ormao’s Student Company is more than a performance program. It is a place where young dancers find connection, build confidence, and discover who they can become through dance.
Modeled after our professional dance company, Student Company provides a pathway for students who want to deepen their artistic journey in a supportive, inclusive, and noncompetitive environment. Through performance, choreography, collaboration, and community engagement, dancers learn to work together, express themselves creatively, and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
At Ormao, we believe dance is about more than technique. It is about belonging. Students become part of a community that encourages creativity, leadership, teamwork, and personal growth.
Whether a student dreams of dancing professionally, pursuing dance in college, or simply gaining confidence and lifelong friendships, Student Company offers opportunities to explore what is possible.
The Student Company Path
Students begin by developing their artistry, technique, and confidence alongside their peers. As they grow, they gain opportunities to perform, create original work, collaborate with guest artists, and engage with the community through dance.
Many students continue their dance education in college, pursue professional opportunities, or return to Ormao as teachers, choreographers, performers, and mentors for future generations.

WELCOME! Ormao Foundations Company
Ages 7–11 | Beginning Dancers
Foundations Company is designed for young dancers who are ready to expand their world through movement, creativity, and collaboration. Students develop technique while building confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging within the dance community.
Through rehearsals and performances, dancers learn how to work together, support one another, and discover the joy of creating and sharing dance.
Our Foundations Company students dance 3-4 hours each week and explore a variety of dance mediums to give them the versatility used for years of dancing to come. Students experience an audition and invitation process to accompany. All required classes and rehearsals are included in monthly tuition costs.

Ormao Youth Company
Ages 9–13 | Intermediate Dancers
Youth Company is designed for young dancers who are ready to expand their world through movement, creativity, and collaboration. Students develop technique while building confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging within the dance community.
Through rehearsals and performances, dancers learn how to work together, support one another, and discover the joy of creating and sharing dance.

Ages 12–18 | Intermediate to Advanced Dancers
Junior Company provides students with opportunities to deepen their artistic voice and take greater ownership of the creative process. Dancers collaborate with peers, instructors, guest artists, and professional choreographers to create and perform original work throughout the year.
As they grow as artists, students also develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills that extend far beyond the studio.
Junior students dance 6-7 hours each week to hone and advance their movement skills. Students experience an audition and invitation process to accompany. All required classes and rehearsals are included in monthly tuition costs.

Ages 14–18 | Advanced Dancers
Senior Company prepares advanced dancers for the next stage of their artistic journey. Students create, perform, collaborate, and engage with professional artists while expanding their understanding of dance as both an art form and a career path.
Through national conferences, guest artist residencies, and original creative projects, dancers gain experiences that help them envision future opportunities in dance, higher education, and leadership.
Senior Company students become role models within the Ormao community, helping shape the culture of support, creativity, and excellence that defines our program.
Senior students dance 8-10 hours each week to practice a well rounded versatile movement experience. Students experience an audition and invitation process to accompany. All required classes and rehearsals are included in monthly tuition costs.
