1929 You & Me

Premiered 2012

Inspired by WPA photos from the Fine Art Center’s exhibition for the multidisciplinary project, ‘Resilience’ which capture the images from the great depression. The work builds a vision; the story what happened before is what happening now. The fallout of the 1929 Stock Market crash cast a great shadow over the US – the Great Depression. But even in such struggle, the complexity of togetherness can meet one of our greatest needs – the longing for relationship. The light of genuine relationships is wealth that can be neither bought nor sold.
