Justice Miles

DANCER/ CHOREOGRAPHER

Justice Miles is a biracial independent choreographer, dance artist, and scholar whose work is centered around exploring hybridity, blackness, and elements of flamenco and contemporary dance. Miles’ choreographic works include: Soul of Flowers, created and performed as the Music, Race and Social Justice Artist in Residence at the Metropolitan State University of Denver in collaboration with dancers and musical duo Solazur, Floral Tea, a floral dance film created for the Art Gym Denver Create Award Residency which was also selected to be virtually streamed in ModArts Dance Collective’s Move to Change Festival and an excerpt was performed live at the Collegium of African Diasporan Dance Conference at Duke University, and Ink on Cotton, which was a dream-like exploration of African American history incorporating elements of contemporary dance and flamenco (excerpts performed at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City for Dr.Meira Goldberg’s conference The Body Questions Celebrating Flamenco’s Tangled Roots).
