Dancer

Cheri Orr began her classical dance training in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Dance from Belhaven University. After dancing with Ballet Magnificat! II and Belhaven Dance Ensemble, she relocated to Colorado Springs in 2001 and began performing with Ormao Dance Company and teaching dance and pilates. Currently, she shares her passion for the joy of dance teaching at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Ormao’s Dance for Parkinson’s program. Cheri and her husband founded Jubilee Arts Collective, a nonprofit bringing restoration through the arts. Cheri is the Artistic Director of Jubilee Dance, an outreach dance company taking performance and workshops to special populations, trauma treatment centers, and correctional facilities to bring hope and healing to underserved spaces in our community.
